Check yourself against these “I can” statements.
- I can multiply a single term over a bracket, e.g. 3x(2x − 3) = 6x² − 9x
- I can factorise an expression by taking out a common factor, e.g. x³ + x² + x = x(x² + x + 1)
- I can check a factorisation by expanding it again
