How to play
- Everyone has 10 digits and 5 operations (+ − × ÷). There are as many = signs as you like.
- On your turn, put tiles in one row or one column to make a true equation, reading left to right or top to bottom, e.g. 13 × 2 = 26. It must have an = and at least one operation. × and ÷ are done before + and −.
- The first equation must cover the ★ in the middle. After that, every equation joins onto tiles already on the board, and any line of two or more tiles you make (across or down) must be a true equation too.
- Score: add up every number in each equation you make. 13 × 2 = 26 scores 13 + 2 + 26 = 41.
- Coloured squares count when you first cover them: 2D / 3D make the digit on it count double or triple (a 7 on 3D adds 7 × 2 = 14 more); 2N / 3N double or triple the whole number that covers it; 2E / 3E double or triple the whole equation. The ★ is 2E.
- Use 8 or more of your own tiles in one go (not counting =) for a +50 bonus.
- Numbers can't start with 0 (except 0 itself). You can't start or end with an operation, or put two operations together.
- Instead of playing, you can swap any of your tiles for new ones, or pass. The game ends when someone uses all their tiles and the bag is empty, or everyone passes or swaps twice in a row.
